Gantz, Reika by Alanning2015 Gantz, Reika by Alanning2015
currently i work on a new Figure, cause the dry periods for the other Figur ( YUI From Muv Luv Total Eclipse ) takes more time then i thought, thats why i started a second one...

The Picture shows Reika from Gantz, she is made from Foam, and is about 55cm in height, it still a w.i.p....

I totaly agree, the Figma company made the best looking Figures out there :trophy:
There is one Company called Art of War ( what a Stupid Name ! ) they made a Big version of Kato about 30cm height for about 520 ,- bucks, wich is clearly too much for that less he looks not so good, as he should be :giggle: wich is not Katos fault, they messed up pretty well with his Face, he totally not look like him at all...

Ahhhhh, yes the Gantz Bike, i made one too, but of course a bigger version ( 55cm Diameter, so that all the Figures got the same Size and fit together ) i will place Kurono in it, and Kato beneth
Currently i work on the Gantz ball, i will display Reika in front of it, maybe i draw a few Kanjis on it :giggle:

With that price(Art of war figure)I always wonder for who they make those figures? Certainly not for the average fan. More for scalpers who plan to resell them for more money later on. Even I would not spend that kind of money and at the end you have an item you are constantly worried that it could break(that big figure looks pretty fragile). For that reason I like smaller figures, plastic, rubber and plush the most.
I agree, the face looks different. Looks more like an older and more realistic Katou. But I don't mind that! He still looks sexy. I'm more concerned about his leg pose...

Also wish that Figma made a Kurono, Katou, Kishimoto, Sei and Nishi!

Can't wait to see the other figures!!! :giggle:

there is on dude here on DA called Mark Newman, he makes Figures proffessional for companys like Sideshow Collectibles ( Superhero stuff from Marvel, DC; image and others ) once a visitor from his online Gallery ask him how much it would cost if he cast one of his Figures  wich was not mass produced for a Big Company, and mold a copy for him...this is no Joke ! ( i got him in my Friends list, take a look if you are courios )
so he told him kindly he can have one, if he pay him 6500,- Dollar for it ...
seriously, can you belive that ? OK, im far away from his skill set,  but it took me only a week to create Reika, an he make such a Statue probably in the same Time, if not even
in less time, i wonder if he realy sell that copy to that dude...

I totally agree with you, people who have so much Money lying around, the have other interessts than collecting Figures.

Haha, yes, his legs...looks like Rubber Man to me too :giggle:
The main question would be wich material they use, if its PVC you dont have to worry at all,if its Resin, better put in in a Safe :giggle:

But far as i know is the Market for such collectible Figures realy huge, not only in Japan,
and i know a Dude who has a subscription for a Series, that mean he has to buy it, meaningless whatever they produce, even before he knows how it looks like (yeah, that is realy Crazy ).

Sad is the big companys like Figma start producing only if they are shure they will sell at least a 100.000, take a look at the Good Smile company with thier Nendoroid Series,
as soon as a new Figure is out they are Sold out , but they never make a second Edition,
no one knows why...

Realy wonder why they didnt continue with the Gantz Anime...always a riddle to me...

Reika is Painted ( realy looks very nice ) only the Eyes are left, i'm still not shure if i paint them in Manga Eye Style or More Realistic...suggestions Please

Pictures will follow :eager:
